IEC is an image Core lab based in Barcelona, Spain, since 2008. It is a full suite solution provider for imaging clinical trials and is committed to assist sponsor companies and CROs with their imaging requirements as they discover new drug therapies.
4CT was founded in 2016 with the mission of providing full CRO integrated services and merged with Anagram, a consolidated Spanish CRO, in 2018.
IEC and Anagram have built an integrated model with proven successful delivery. Anagram provides the right solutions while ensuring that budget and timelines are achieved. IEC and Anagram are committed to the highest ethical standards thereby ensuring the safety and care of patients in our clinical development programs.

Founder
Dr. José Mateos is a nuclear medicine physician trained in Hospital Clinic, one of the most prestigious hospitals in Spain. He developed a degree thesis focused on neuroimaging related to parkinsonism, mood disorders and schizophrenia. In 2004, he worked as a medical advisor in General Electric, undertaking Imaging studies with different contrast agents, radiolabel isotopes and other imaging modalities (CT, MRI, PET, NM).
In 2008, he founded an imaging CRO in Barcelona, managing oncological and neurological research. Ten years later, he inaugurated new offices in Madrid and initiated his new core lab project.
In 2016, Dr. Jose Mateos, aligned with other partners, founded a CRO called 4CT. In 2018 Anagram, a consolidated Spanish CRO, was integrated in the group bringing extensive cardiovascular and neurology experience. IEC and Anagram work together to combine thorough knowledge and experience on image treatment in clinical trials with operational and management acumen.
